Okay, year 8 parent teacher interviews were last night. You only get an interview with a teacher if your parents specificly want one with them (which my parents don't want with anyone) or if the teacher wants one with your parents for some reason.
Now, the only teacher that wanted an interview with my parents was Mrs. Zerafa, she's one of my two home room teachers and she also teaches me geography. When she asked me to get an interview time (which happened last term) I stared at her and was saying something around the lines of ".... Why..... why do you want one with my parents? You're gonna say bad stuff, aren't you? Yeah... that's the only reason you could want one. And she says to me that everything she has to say is good except that she thinks I am not doing enough hours of homework each week.
So last week I finally tell my parents that they've got an interview with her, and then a couple of days later they tell me I gotta change the time because of the time my sister's been rostered on to work (but that's not really important.) But when they said that, I told them the reason that she had said she wanted the interview, and I said that if they wanted I could just make it so that they don't have to go because there's not much point in driving all the way there and all the way back just for a 5 minute interview with a teacher, but they just make me change it anyway.
So, all of last week I am being extra careful so as to not let any teachers, especially not Mrs. Zerafa (I'm really careful all the time anyway) see the cuts on my left wrist, like to make sure that she won't mention anything to my parents, though I kept telling myself I was being paranoid.
So anyway, my parents go to the interview, and later that night mum says to me that Mrs. Zerafa didn't mention anything about what I said she had said to me, and she asks me whether I wanna know what she did talk about, and I full on panic, so I say no, just in case it was something bad about cutting, I didn't want to be confronted by her.
Then later when I am going with my mum to pick up my sister from work (I went because it was a lightning storm and it was raining heaps and I don't think my mum should be driving alone in that kind of weather) and on the way there my mum just says how Mrs. Zerafa was saying all this good stuff about me, like how all my work is good and how I get along with people well and things... Yeah, so I am full on relieved, but I think it's kind of suspicious that she asked my parents to go there, and that was all she said.
So then today I am going to this maths thing, and as I am leaving, my mum says "Hold on." then grabs my right arm, pulls up my sleeve and stares at my wrist for like five seconds, and of corse, there's nothing on that wrist because the cuts are on my left wrist, and then she turns away and I start walking, then she grabs my right arm again and says "Let me look at your orther wrist." and I break away from her and say I'm late, and then I get into the car and leave...
Yeah, so now I am full on worried, I can't keep hiding my wrist from her 'cause she's probably gonna try to look again, I mean, the way I ran away from her must have been so suspicious....!! Ah!!! Now I have to finish this journal before Chris goes to bed.

Hmmmmmm... Well... They're going to find out some time, they always were. I'm not good with confronting parents though, so let's see that other people say... *cues Feuille*
What are the cuts like on your left arm?
And, you *really* should stop

Ummm.... well, right now only one things has a scab, the reat of them have all heals and have left scars, and the one scab that's there doesn't look that bad, it was really dark red the other day before I had a shower, but then like most of the scab sort of got washed away I guess. So it's a reasonably small line of scab on a thicker line of pink-ish scar-like skin... but the thing is, even if I do stop and never re-open that cut ever again, it's still gonna have a really obvious scar! And my mum is definitely gonna look at it sometime, and she's either gonna see an open wound, a scab or a really obvious scar! *sighs*

Update:
This morning when Liam and I went with mum when she was taking Bec to work, we got there and Liam walked Bec in like a true gentleman should. Then mum grabbed my left arm, I pulled away from her. She said "Show it to me." and I just sort of turned away from her and moved my arm so that she couldn't get it. Then she said "I know what you've been doing, I just want to see it." and then she kept saying "Why?" and I kept not showing her and I said "Who said something to you?" a few times, and she said "Come on, show me while he's not here." (talking about Liam of course) luckily Liam got back in the car then..... but what the hell am I gonna do?! I can't just keep avoiding her, but I really don't wanna talk with her about stuff and things.... *frowns!* Argh, this is so sh*t!! I'm doomed.... doomed I tell ya!

Hi. I wrote this the other day in a journal on a website I belong to:

Yeah. Earlier today I saw Donny Darko for the first time. I have been wanting to see that movie for ages.... though I didn't think it was good for me to watch it today.
When I was watching it.... I just felt really weird, like almost as if someone was trying to take away soul or something.... it felt seriously f***ed...... it was freaky, and I don't know why. And it put my mind into a somewhat destructive state.... like, so it wasn't in a mood for just hurting myself, I felt like maybe hurting others and destroying property.... 'Tis very bad!

Frank the rabbit scared the out of me but I love that movie...
Dani
You need to tell her. You do...since she knows.
With my parents...what happened, was I had already told my friends...my mum came home from America, my mum and dad were arguing and he went to the bathroom for a minute, when he was out I started crying and just wordlessly showed my mum my arm, which had cuts on it...she started crying and when my dad came in he was very confused, with both of us suddenly crying . And we talked for ages, a few hours at least, and it was...weird. But your mum all but knows. You /need/ to tell her, Dani. Her support is better than none, even if you fear she'll smother you she will be there for you. Show it to her.

You need to go to her, not have her badger you about it...find her when neither she nor you are busy, and show her, and try to talk to her. That's really, really what you need to do...what will give YOU the best chance of getting better...
If you're worried about scarring and things, get some antiseptic cream, you can get it from the chemists, I use "sudocrem" but I don't know if you'd be able to get it in australia, it speeds healing. Use it every morning and every night for the whole time you've got the cut and it really helps it heal without scarring AS much. The scars on my arm are really less bad than they would have been without it.

Dani, babe, parents are often a lot more understanding than you'd think. A friend of mine had some guy try to rape her once and then a few years ago he started hanging around her and pestering her and sh*t and she was freaking out and it took me ages to convince her to tell her mom, but she did eventually and she was better for it. Saying that, if, and I doubt that she will, your mom freaks, give me her email addy, assuming she's got one, and I'll send her a nice polite email telling her how that doesn't help. I've got several friends who cut themselves, all female although suposedly more men do it than women . Oh and I do mean polite, I've had to do it once already for a friend who's mom couldn't cope with it and was blaming herself and stuff.
