I am absolutely shattered today. I'm trying to type stuff out on the PC and I'm barely managing to tap the right keys.
I'm off to a quiz later. I don't know how much you know about the average pub quiz but they are fierce places sometimes. It's amazing how emotive the question 'how many letters are there in the Italian alphabet?' can become at 10pm after everyone has tanked up after watch the footy. (the answer's 21, by the way)
There is always a question asking which year a certain thing happened. When I was younger (i.e. in my teens - I'm aware I'm not exactly an old codger!) the years seemed very distinct from one another, but now they seem to be merging into one another. This is never so frightening as when you're at a quiz. And there'll always be someone who'll say the year one before/after your guess to be different so they can say 'I told you so' at the end if you're wrong and put doubt in your head. Can anybody reading this, for example, remember which year Nelson Mandela was released? 10 ricehammer points if you post me the answer without looking it up!
I think my previous entry mistook this site for a blog, so I will do my best to redress this over the forthcoming posts.
