Ahh...the day of the picnic...
It is 9:30 am, it is dark out there, thunderclaps and lightening happening all around and striaght up and down rain.
It even has name, so accuweather tells me...
BARRY...
Barry is not letting up anytime soon it seems, and the picnic was scheduled for 11am today..wtf am I gonna do with all this coleslaw

Isn't that always the way!!
The bummer is that if it's made with mayo, you can't even freeze the stuff.
Hopefully Barry won't hit you too hard and that you all stay safe and sound. With electricity and stuff, too.

Barry? BARRY?! Since when has anything threatening been called Barry?
Could've been worse. Could've been called Neville. Imagine being made homeless by Hurricane Neville.
It's grey here. Grey and damp, but warm. Sticky.

Well we went- the weather stopped being all weathery and Barry-like by 10:45am so off we went armed with wellies, brollies and a few towels.
More people turned up than I thought would, these intrepid scouts and parents and we had a marvellous time and the kids were all tired and sweaty by the end of the day...and lots of good eats all round

We just don't get storms like that around here- though they do get the occasional tornado out west and downstate. We had bucketloads of rain on Friday evening- it took our phone line out but that was the extent of it.
Glad you enjoyed your picnic and that the kids had such a good time!

"I find it needs salt too"
Ah. Something lost in translation here Vix, let me explain. "I Fin Dit" in fact is an ancient French Polynesian recipe, you are fortunate that Ed & I both know the secret. The name comes from the French "One said finished"; because traditionally it is so delicious, your guests simply gobble it up until bursting point.
I agree Ed, it wouldn't be the same without the salt.

Fret not, i squeak fluent Gibberish (with Yodish as a second language); very few carbon based life-forms understand me.
