So more blood tests and more results to write about.

The frequent HbA1c results round up.
From the doctor on the 18th May I had a HbA1c of 7.0% according to the bit of paper I was given when I asked for printouts of the results. Not too bad considering that in march when I was at the hospital for a routine clinic appointment it was 7.3% Maybe the suggestions of the doctor at the hospital are working. I hope so as I've incorporated some suggestions of the DSN who I saw in may as well and I think it should drop further (I hope so).

In other results I had a liver function test as well and everything was fine. Not bad considering my liver will have had some use over the few days before my blood tests, it had been my birthday on that weekend smiley - winkeye

Congratulations. You do well to keep that number "round" 7.
Mine are similar. They went up due to an unidentified virus and various indications that might have been kidney and/or liver function niggles, but they've all settled down again and "there's nothing wrong with you, Mrs Jones". So we can both have a good summer with the odd Pimms. smiley - starsmiley - star

Well done Phil, I'm hoping my next Hbthingy will be under 7%, the last couple have both been 7% and since then I've found another couple of things that raise the old levels and managed to get my average daily test under 6.5%

The one good thing is that I've found that the even (nothing odd about that smiley - winkeye) doesn't make any difference smiley - cheers

And the latest results just in are that my HbA1c was 7.1% about a week ago.
It turns out that this is 54mmol/mol in new money. It'll take a while to get used to this new money.
There was a note to see my gp I hope it's about this conversion as I can't see him telling me off with a scope like that.

Well done there granny. I do sometimes wish mine would fall back under 7% but I'll take what I get.

It's mainly due to your advice on testing smiley - ta I quickly found out that I can't eat rice in any form but can eat potatoes, bread and pasta. The more I can exercise the better as well. Guess who's going swimming straight from the hospital tomorrow? 14 hrs to cast off smiley - biggrin
