Another year over and what have we done?
Phil Started conversation May 17, 2000
Well I'll admit it. It's my birthday today, May 17th. Twenty seven times has this lump of rock made it to roughly the same spot as when I was born and what's happened in that time? Quite a lot I expect.
As a child I often wondered what I'd be doing in 2000, thinking that being 27 was awfully old. Now I'm here I'm not old yet and I'm doing things that couldn't have even been thought of in a small boy's immagination. There's still plenty to do and things to see so I'd better get on with it hadn't I.
And thanks for the birthday wishes from you all

Do you look ahead and make a prediction about where you will be in a year? Or make a birthday wish?
I know what you mean about thinking about the year 2000 when you were a child. I am 40 very soon, which seemed ancient when I was about 10! Now I have a 10 year old of my own, (Elfin) but I don't really feel ancient despite what ot days on my page!

Well I did make a birthday wish and I do have some idea of what/where I want to get to over the next year. Of course all this will change no doubt
My eldest sister's eldest is 11, so I know what they can be like at that age. At least I can give them back though
