And it was all going so well, as well smiley - wah.
I was finally over the grotty chest infection that kept me off work for a week and then I have to go and lose an argument with some frozen yorkshire puddings and a kitchen knife smiley - erm.

Still, I learnt how nice the staff in A&E where I work can be when they don't want you to do something for them, like, yesterday smiley - ok

Upshot is I have a very impressive cartoon style bandage round my hand, and got given the instruction not to get my hand wet for a week. Ewww.. smiley - ill. Going to make showering interesting, to say the least smiley - biggrin.

And I didn't even get a sticker saying I was a brave girl or nuffink smiley - wah. They probably wouldn't have given me one anyway, as I started backing out the cubicle when they couldn't promise me I wouldn't have stitches (I don't just those strip things to keep the inside of my hand where it should be). For a girl that has five tattoos and four piercings, I can be remarkably wussy about needles.

Ah well, hopefully that was the third thing.

Aww. smiley - loveblushsmiley - cuddle.
Mind you, I think the stabbing that wandered in off the street just after I got there probably got my sticker. Left a trail of blood behind him and wasn't batting an eyelid smiley - yikes. Made my bleeding hand look most unimpressive smiley - cross.
(Not that I was competing or anything, you understand. Just think that if you're going to do these things, might as well do it properly with maximum fuss smiley - winkeye. He got *all* the attention <pah&gtsmiley - winkeye

Kerr_Avon - hunting stray apostrophes and gutting poorly parsed sentences

It seems to be the time for kitchen injuries. The dog has recently been changed to having dry food after a late night incident involving a tin of dog food and a fork which resulted in two stiches for himself.

Again? or is this the same incident you told me about?

There are some benefits. Not being allowed to get my hand wet means I can legitimately delegate the washing up to someone else as opposed to saying 'oh you do it, I can't be arsed' smiley - biggrin. It's obviously a sign that I should give up cooking as well.

smiley - laugh. I shouldn't really snigger. I have the memory of a goldfish with alzheimer's sometimes.

And where exactly am I going to find one of *those* to do the washing up, eh? smiley - winkeye
