When I moved in here, I had what seemed a thousand lighters. You couldn't move round here for 'em. Now I cant find *one* of the little 
ers. 
. WHY???
I can only surmise that they've all left home to join with the biros.
Important lesson learnt as result of this is to take more care when lighting ciggie from gas stove.. They'll grow back eventually, I'm sure

At least you can light your fag from the gas stove. Our gas stove requires a lighter to light it in the first place, which pretty much buggers that idea.
You could always hang one round your neck chav-mobile style.
Maybe the Shark's stealing them all, a broad 'giving up time' hint

I have suffered the same 'lighters growing little legs' problem myself, although an order to Pete to empty his pockets usually solves the problem. So far, lighters are one thing of mine the hound hasn't tried snaffling. Interesting result if he did, I suspect.
