Whooping Cranes
Websailor Started conversation Nov 28, 2003
The whooping Cranes migrating with microlights from Wisconsin to Florida are stalled through the wrong kind of weather. This trip is taking much longer than the last two, but the cranes, all 16 of them, are behaving very well. They are flying so well I think they will make rapid progress once the wind is in the right direction, and the weather fit to fly. The birds taken down for the last two years, have beaten them to Florida on their own!
Great stuff, and proves that humankind could begin to put things right, with the will to do it. Take heed, John Ridway, all is not lost for the albatrosses.
