h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Well, here we are on Election Day - one of the few days each year when everyone in America has a voice. Of course, more and more often people fail to use their electoral voice and cause the process to become a little bit worse.

To think that the Founding Fathers actually thought going to the polls and casting a ballot would be more interesting than what's on television!

I still contend that the only way we'll see candidates who don't pander to special interest groups is to have a horrible catastrophe befall the US, coupled with the loss of all television signals. If things were bad economically *and* there was no tv, we'd have real political action and change within the week!

Anyway, if you live in the US, please go out and vote. The only wasted vote is the one not cast!

Unless of course the computer decides to miss count the ballots.
