This weekend, the X family went camping in the mountains of southwestern Pennsylvania.
We drove out Friday and set up camp and then spent the day Saturday at an awesome amusement park near Pittsburgh (guide entry to follow). Sunday we visited the Fort Necessity National Battlefield - the only National Park site devoted to the French and Indian War.
Then we sort of hung around the Yough River for a while before making the 4 hour drive back home.
Everyone survived and it looks like our youngest girl is old enough to camp so we'll be able to do a bit more of it. (We had a hotel reservation nearby just in case!)
It might not have been the most romantic get-away for our wedding anniversary, but it was a nice family time.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
