Today at 9 am, we're going to register my eldest daughter for kindergarten. It's a big step for my little girl - she'll be going to school in the autumn and they've got to test her a bit to see that she's ready.
She's a little nervous, but I'm sure she'll do fine. She knows her ABCs, can count to 100, can tie her own shoes, she knows the starting line-up for the Atlanta Braves, etc. 
She's a bright kid (and that's not just me being a proud parent), but she gets nervous in strange social settings (a lot like her father, I'm afraid). However, once she warms to the situation, she's a real charmer.
How did she grow up so fast?
