The homeowner's representatives called our Realtor this afternoon. They offered $121,500 plus some appliances we wanted to remain in the house. It's a bit higher than we wanted to pay, but it's also a lot lower than the homeowner originally wanted for the property.
We're going to look over the contracts tomorrow.
Bottom line - we've got a house!!
We still need to do some inspections of the well water and checking for termites and stuff, but once that is over, we'll just need to write the checks and sign the final paperwork.

Has it only been a week since we found this place?

Hi there fellow home mover. How did you do it? We found our place over 2 months ago and there is still no sign of a move yet.

Nope, the homeowner is building a new place so we're waiting for her. Our tentative date is set for August 22 to sign the final papers with her moving out on August 23 and us starting to move in on the 24th.

Add to that the fact that school starts on August 29 and our eldest daughter goes to school for the first time on that date and you've got some fun life stress...

Almost as much fun as planning a wedding and moving house at the same time!
