Phil has spoken.
Pennsylvania's prognosticating rodent has seen his shadow, foretelling another 6 weeks of winter.
I'm perfectly happy with Phil's prediction this year. I was out golfing last weekend and I've discovered that I *love* playing golf in the winter.
For example, I hit a ball into a pond but since the water was frozen the ball bounced back into the fairway and rolled 150 yards toward the hole.
I can't figure out why we play in the summer after a result like that!

You're lucky having winter; it seems to be spring here and has been that way for a couple of weeks - we've got ducklings on the canal here, and the frogs and hedgehogs are coming out of hibernation. The children have been hoping for snow and all we've had was a measly ten minutes of snow which didn't even settle.

It's been cold at times this winter here in lovely Pennsylvania, but we haven't had any serious snow.
It's odd but we seem (to me at least) to be in a Virginia pattern this year with all of our precipitation being the frozen rain variety.
I don't mind a good snowfall, but a quarter inch of freezing rain can really ruin your whole day. And it's not a bit of fun to play in - just throw some salt on the walks and sulk...
