I'm officially a student again.
After a long hiatus, I've returned to university to pursue my master's degree in communications/journalism.
I reckon it's past time for me to actually learn how to do what I've been doing for the last nine years.
It's only an hour commute to my college every Tuesday night. Should be an interesting class - it's all about doing research in mass communications.
I'm thinking that will mean loads of statistical homework and projects, but I should be able to use this knowledge to measure the effectiveness or lack of effectiveness of some of the tasks I'm assigned at work.
I'm asked to do some bloody stupid things at times and if I can *prove* they're pointless maybe I'll be allowed to stop doing them!
Yay education!

Are you still working? Or are you fully enjoying the student lifestyle?
Cheap beer, late nights, dog ends, all that sort of stuff?

Still working during the day and then taking classes at night. So plenty of late nights and but the lifestyle is more of the frazzled parent variety.
I'm doing the whole car-pooling to basketball games, piano lessons, Girl Scout meetings and sundry after-school activities thing and reading my textbooks while I wait. God bless the inventor of the laptop!
I suppose it'll be worth it in the end, but my stress levels are pretty high right now. Our first major assignment is due tonight and I'm afraid I missed the boat because it seemed *far* too easy.
But I do have a habit of over-thinking things sometimes...
