The X family made its annual autumnal trek to the mountains of southwest Pennsylvania.

The weather broke and we were able to fully enjoy the sights of Ohiopyle State Park (A1082549) which is one of our favourite places on earth. Then we checked into a hotel and went up the mountain to one of our favourite restaurants (A292664).

It *is* a bit odd to be recognized at a restaurant more than 200 miles from your home...

That's very cool!

My family has been eating there for generations. My father grew up 'out west' in Western Pennsylvania and this was one of this family's favourite restaurants.

I've been going there since I was little. It's a bit like eating at home with the staff making a big fuss over how big the kids are getting, etc.

That is *really* cool - having a resturant that your family have been using over the generations!

I haven't got any even similar, pubs become locals, but the landlords generally change quite often, so there's little family history associated with the vast majority of them.

It's really great that they've kept it in the family and still use the same recipies.

Though Chef Jerry has added a lot of great items to the menu, I find it difficult not to order the same thing I've always ordered. We're only out there for a few meals a year!

However, one day I *will* try the Seafood Fettuccine Alfredo!
