The store is open and the cat out of the bag. Jefferson Powers has rented a space and opened a comics and games store. We painted the place with a checker board cieling and he built all of the furniture in it himself. These hand built shelves now contain nothing but the best in comics, collectable card games, role playing games, and any kind of game that seems fun. Intended to be a place where little Timmy can go with grandma and not have them feel awkward, the place is also full of subtle things that should amuse counterculture individuals. Although he wont be able to get an ad in the phone book yet, his store will be running ads in "The Onion" in Denver untill he can do so.

Congrats to Jeff!
I know this is a fulfilment of one of his bigest dreams. I wish him luck and happiness. And I wish it to overflow back down to you!
Celebrations for him here in NYC!

Do you know if they still make any other CCGs besides Magic? I used to enjoy playing Illuminati: New World Order, but I think they stopped making it, and left the rules half-done...

There are a lot of them. My personal obscure favorites were Imagica and Heresy-also sadly no longer in print.
-Comming sometime this year, there will be X-men, Harry Potter, Terminator vs Preditor,
Werewolf, and probably some other Collectable Card Games that I am still unaware of.
I think that currently being printed in CCG are....
Deadlands -(Cowboys, Monsters, Mad Scientists... wierd west game)
Digimon -(pokemon offshoot)
Legend of the Five Rings-(Samurai fiction based game)
Magic -(Dragons and Adventure fantasy game)
7th Sea- (Pirate fiction game)
The Television and Movie based Collectable card games...
Alien vs Preditor-(fantasy crossover of movies)
Austin Powers-(based on comedy movie of same name)
Babylon 5-(based on the television series)
Dragon Ball Z -(based on the cartoon of same name)
Highlander-(based on the movies, and Tv series)
Pokemon -(who doesn't know what Pokemon is?)
Star Trek -(based on the television shows)
Star Wars-(based on the original 3 movies)
Tomb Raider-(based on the video game)
WF-(based on American TV Wrestling)
Young Jedi-(based on the Episode I movie)
There might also be Battletech, Hercules and Xena, Net Runner<-(cyberspace fiction),
and Monster Rancher<-(pokemon emulator) card games-but I haven't heard much about them.
