For the second time in five months I'm feeling terribly sad, and wish I could find words that would either make some sense or lend some comfort.

But I can't.

I have noticed that far too many sane and rational people are expressing extreme and ill-considered views - on the net, on the street, everywhere it seems.

This is a time of high emotion but cool heads must prevail. Things are inevitably going to get worse before they improve - it would help everyone, everywhere, if we all think long and hard before saying anything that could spread more hatred...which is, after all, what caused this weeks tragic events.
