Hence the old saying "beware of geeks baring .gifs!" Narf!

Today is an interesting prezzie day. One being from one of those geek types. But I expect it to contain JPGs not GIFs.

Unfortunately I can't tell because it's in a format I can't read (DVD not CD). That's what my days are like - even the "good" ones.
However, I did spend that morning reading one of the new books - even though it was more of an instruction book, was written backwards(!) and largely contained the blindingly obvious. I've yet to read, play with and try on the rest of the miscellanea.

No (nor the other options!). It was various things I'd ordered, deliberately *not* ordered but been sent anyway(!), been promised etc but which had been mysteriously delayed in various ways. Then they all arrived at once.
All of which now narrows down the thing which was being held hostage by the Post Office for having insufficient postage but too late for the holding / collection time. In between, the PO's automated and apparently completely unmanned service kept hanging up phone calls instead of putting me through to anyone who could give me the name of the sender to decide whether it was worth me making an expensive trip to the middle of nowhere.
Meanwhile, the people I suspected of sending it (assuming it wasn't just junk mail or something worse) had their email address, which had previously worked, suddenly bounce on me (again after waiting too many days to do much else about it) and their website contact form just gave me error messages the couple of times I tried it.
See where the Marvinism comes from? Life really is always picking on me.

My computer was bought just fractionally before DVDs became standard. So was my neighbours. However, the neighbour has upgraded since. Whereas I haven't ... yet.

In addition to apparently being the frog deity?! Plus my secret supernatural identity and being some sort of strange attractor for small critters in general anyway. That's a whole lot of responsibility for one alien. It certainly doesn't look like any other deities are pulling their weight.

Are you insinuating that I'm fat? Is that it? Are you saying my bum looks big in this post? I always knew you had it in for me. Well, this is PROOF. That's the LAST TIME I go on a date with with you. I think we have all learnt something today.
