I'm sad to hear that the RSPCA's getting a rep. as bad as the RSPB's. I'd found them to be pretty good. Was there something specific that turned you against them, Otherness?

Why is it that *I* suddenly have to be the one to make sense? Not that I wasn't doing so anyway of course. I was just going with the ingredients at hand and speculating on what to do with the leftovers.

You mean beyond the fact that they use charitable donation to fund the persuit of political ambition that many of their donors do not understand at all or beyond the RSPCAs properganda machine?
Or beyond the fact that they persue criminal cases against people without any case to answer because of their 1. Political beliefs. or 2. Ignorance and 3. Incompetance. As exampled by the fact that 80% of the people they put through the stress and upset of trial have no case to answer and a significant chunk of the remainder are too mentally ill or old to understand that they not able to care for their animal properly?
Beyond the fact that should use independant unbiased vets to judge if animals should be impounded instead of those reliant of them for business? Beyond the fact that they don't provide adequate training for the cretins they employ? Beyond their unhealthy relationship with their lawyers? Beyond the fact that they would have taken the opppertunity to restructure themselves along the lines of the Scotish sister group if they weren't a bunch of currupt amoral feckwits?

Beyond that? Yes there is something specific that makes me not bow down at worship at the feet of the theiving mendacious c*nts!

Not specificly. There's always Google or you ask Kaz, I seem to recall her mentioning that she was aware they're are quite what they pretend to be...

For one thing SSPCA use the Prosecution Sevice to decide if a case should be taken to court, which is a start.

People don't seem to realise just how much laughing scientists do. They're all missing out - some of them unnecessarily (though it's true that a few won't be capable of getting the jokes).
