FIVE FIELDS

"I had something vaguely amusing and involving Coal Chamber to say... I've no idea what it was now, so can you just pretend?"
Sure thing.
Nyxkind, you're full of wit!

I'll make a note to remind myself that I need to remember to er... to er do something...
FIVE FIELDS
Snailrind Posted Nov 20, 2005
That would require Nyxkind to know what day of the week it is.

When we stepped out of the house today, we saw a rainbow. Gothly reckoned the end was positioned in one of the Five Fields, so I suggested we go and look for the Crock of Gold, and off we set. Gothly opined that the crock might not be full of gold.
*Dogshit!" I said.
"Where?" said Gothly, scanning the ground hastily.
"No, I'm just calling you one."
Gothly wasn't amused: "did your mother never tell you the story about the little girl who got her head kicked in?"
Needless to say, we didn't find any crocks of gold.

"What a crock!"
Makes me think of of the Leonard Nimoy "classic" 3 Men and a Little Lady.

> "When we stepped out of the house today, we saw a rainbow."
I saw a rainbow this morning (yes, I know it's after midnight now and is some people's next day). It was a double with supernumeraries too. As usual I was in a state of undress though. So I grabbed my new camera and hung out of the bedroom window (still naked ) to try and get some shots before it vanished. Sometime I _will_ remember to take my camera somewhere while I'm actually clothed. I kept forgetting most of the summer/autumn.
Once I finally uploaded the data to the computer many hours later, the images came out better than I thought from the preview screen. The camera did a very good job of focusing on the foreground leaves and buds of a tree. Unfortunately, I missed the brightest moment of the rainbow, because I'd got cold and shut the window and it was fading out by the time I got the camera ready again. I also only went for a small section of the bow rather than the double and the somewhat less attractive things which were in the way of that shot.

Now which things were those SEF; this sounds like a very interesting photographic composition to me....
