And so it begins...

Busily spending time browsing the web, musing on kebabs (kebabs - I ask you!), when I ought to be working.

Work is, unless I muse for too long on the subject of seared animal matter of unidentifiable origin, something to do with a little known manufacturer of mobile phones. And basestations. And radio comms sets. And...

Mobile phones, you will doubtless have noticed, have taken over from digital watches as this decade's "really neat idea" - we'll be seeing them in cereal boxes before too long. No, I mean as in "given away free with", not "accidentally dropped into the box whilst searching for the free blob of plastic (see petrochemical derivatives) that little Johnny is screaming his head off because he can't find".
So I hope that cleared that one up. Any further questions, please feel free to send them to me written on a 20 pound note. Its OK, it will be an obsolete currency before too long...

Gordon Bennett - I was *kidding* when I wrote about the phones given away...
Or at least, I thought it would be much further off.
Now, it seems, someone has developed a disposable mobile phone - a pre-pay with a fixed amount of credit, built on a flexible circuit board. T'would seem that the intended market is along the lines of having them branded - MacDonalds is the example given.

As soon as I can find the URL, I'll put it here...
