I have been up in the "hills" as we call them in New Zealand. Most people would call them huge mountains, but that's the New Zealand tendency to understatement. We were based in huts up on the high glaciers, skiing and climbing peaks nearby. We have also been tramping (hiking - see my entry "NZ expressions") lately and out on the mountain bike when possible. This summer I hope to do more rock climbing and improve my technique in that sport. It's looking like a great summer for me, despite the weather which is a little dull for December standards.
