It's Christmas in 3 days. How strange is that?
And to think I haven't even finished my christmas shopping...
I am staring and one of seven pictures of tin sheds on the wall in front of me. They're actually not tin, and they're not sheds, either. They're made out of corrugated iron and I think they're meant to be huts. Why there is photos of them on the wall is beyond me.
On another note, I was wondering how many people here actually keep in contact with their friends from school? Just so I have an idea on how long I will know these people that I put up with now.
Why, I also ask, is the telepone directory called the white pages? Aren't most pages white? It strikes me as a rather unoriginal and obvious name.
To quote a rather irrelevent piece of poetry: "one day anyone died I guess/ and no one stooped to kiss his face/ busy folk buried them side by side/ little by little and was by was."

OK JJJ, I think I can answer a couple of the questions here:-
1. "I was wondering how many people here actually keep in contact with their friends from school?"
I think you'll find, not many. Of my own school friends, I'm currently in direct contact with none, although I keep track of the movements of a couple, and try and organise a meeting when I can. Even really good friends have to take their own paths before they can judge how nice it is to know you, and there's a lot of growing up to do after school...!
2. "Why... is the telepone directory called the white pages?"
This was a name which was given to that directory after the advent of the "Yellow Pages", as an easy way to distinguish which directory you were talking about. I know it seems obvious, but it IS much easier to say than "that other directory"!
As fdor that inquiry about the tin sheds, I think I know the (series of...?) photos you talk about, but I can't see why they were dobne, either - artistic inspiration is a closed book to me...!
