The main network problems we have in our house is when someone trips over one of the many cables in our lounge. We've duct-taped most of them accross the carpet, but sometimes, for example, the power lead for the ADSL modem get ripped out.

So professional!

smiley - laugh : I've a large unit next to the large computer desk; entirely covered by a four way powerbreaker plug socket thing, countless other leads, all the disk for puter, whcih seem to be needed on an almost daily basis, and hundreds of cables, plus the cable modum, plus, behind which is a forrest of leads attaching to the ten or so sockets I had put on the wall in that position smiley - laugh plus scanner cables.... I'm seriously thinking of investing in wireless, and goind wireless with the cable modum, printer and scanner.... but I'm not sure how good it would be for the scanner smiley - erm

Yeah microsoft have released a patch but we decided we didn't really need SQL server running anyway.

Our server tends to go offline if you step heavily near it... we've sellotaped it together but it's still a bit fragile smiley - smiley The cables need to go into it at exactly the right angles, otherwise they don't connect properly!

Sounds like an engeneering horra-diam.

And it's a server?? has it got a UPS at least?

I'm looking into MySQL atm, no idea if the same worm would effect MySQL. I read a few posts telling me how they hated Server Admins that were too lazy to install the patch. (they had a royle b*tch)
