*sighs and goes to curl up in a corner*
Maybe I should just look into something else. I don't seem to be getting my point across here very well.

there, there, 'nonnie. at least nobody's making any ethnic jokes...
hey there, yk! c'mon back.
We can work this out. I know we can. We are all very loveable here. Really. The problem is that we cant SEE each other and can't always tell how comments are meant, so we gotta be extra careful to let others know our intention, tone of voice, body language, innuendos, jokes, etc., etc.
Have some fudgecake...
yer friend,

May I put in my two cents worth?
(of course, you always do anyway, mutters the crowd.....)
YK, I understand that you mean well, and that you are, in your own unique (and therefore special) way saying things that you think will make us laugh, or at least get a reaction.....
But consider, for a moment, the fact that you are in very mixed company here at H2G2. There are people (and, erm, dragons and stuff) of all ages, backgrounds, beliefs, etc etc. I know you are at an age where you are still very much figuring out your place in the whole scheme of things (indeed, aren't we all....?). And no one here is trying to shun you, but rather to guide you a little in learning how to be your own wonderful self, but still not mistakenly offend people when there is no need to offend.
There are times in life where we all must just say what needs to be said, and not worry about what others will think. But here, in what is meant to be a purely enjoyable forum, is one of the places where it's best to sort of take cues from what everyone else is saying and doing.(Help, I need a good editor in here. There's something wrong with that last sentence....)
No one wants you to leave (and I seem to recall saying almost exactly the same thing to you on a different forum, just a few months back). We want very much for you to stay, and to have a good time. But just about the only rule here on H2G2 is that we all do our best to respect each other. If you play along with the storylines (without trying to shock us all) you'll find that everyone is more than happy to share a good time with you, or anyone you choose to invite along.
Now 'Nonnie, pick your head up and have C{_} of "interesting" lemonade, and maybe some chocolate. I have some here that I've managed to keep hidden from Sealia.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
