On my way to work, complete idiot decides that he's too "cool" for stop signs! Plows right into the back of my car. Moderate damage incurred...
Now, the really sucky thing is that I had spent the last two years *really* getting my car the way I liked it. And with a "Dodge Shadow"...c'mon! It's nearly friggin' impossible! But I had and it was all fixed up from my last wreck 5 years ago and I was happy an' tottlin' along to work and... Boom.
I'm pretty ok physically - I just woke up and all sorts of things are hurting. But I'm sure I don't have whiplash or anything serious. Sorry I made you guys worry!!! I'm just....really mad...about this...AAAHHhhhh!
Ok, better

I agree. Car Wrecks suck. For those of you who care, yesterday was my sixteenth birthday. By the way, I am not Jethro, I am one of his good friends Matt. I aced my license test, and was happily tooling down a county road in search of my girlfriend's house, and was in the process of making a left turn into this guy's driveway when this lady
comes flying over the hill and plows me clean off the road. I mean, she must've been moving about 65 in a 35 zone. Anyway here's the good part. When the one stupid cop who does show up, things only get worse. He got out of car, surveyed the situation, and said quote unquote "Tina, did this kid hit you!?" Anywho after they got done hugging and reminicsing about old times, he got the "story" from her and did'nt even bother talking to me. He would'nt even give me a police report. Anyway, she made up some zarking story about me backing out into the road, and he believed her. We only have liability, and my parents refuse to do anything. They just don't care.
I lost my dream job (working in a local mall's toystore) because of this. I was creamed 4 hours before I was supposed to go in. It is going to cost 2500 to fix my car, and even if my dad goes for it, which isn't hopeful, he'll take my paychecks until I pay him off. My insurance will be sky-high for the rest of my life. Did I mention that it was also my girlfriend's anniversary? Anyway, she was very understanding, and I consider myself a very lucky guy. Car Wrecks suck. Please reply to Jethro if you any replies.

Shee, just bum me out, why don't you.
I'm never getting a car, ever, ever, ever. No. I'll just live somewhere with a metro, that's what.
Or Venice.
At least everybody's all right, right? Right!
Salud!

Well I do like cold. You keep better.
I wonder if I'd miss subtropical people-melting heat and humidity... well, there's only one way to find out, isn't there—and I won't need a car.

Oh! Glad you're ok, hun. (You're not German, are you? )
The only car wreck I have ever been in was when my Mum was taking me to school when I was about 8. It was icy, there was a sharp corner on a steep hill, and some nut-bar coming the other way at 60mph. It was pretty exciting actually - we ended up in the ditch, but unhurt. Things like that are exciting when you're 8. Not that much fun when it's your car, though. Bummer.

Don't go to Atlanta. The subway is nearly non helpful, and the busses are sporadic. The London Underground is the best i've seen. You could always buy an old volkswagen. If you get into a wreck, it is easy to fix.

People who try to go through mountains usually regret it deeply and in lots of little pieces...
