h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Once again, the heroic Avalanche looked good in their drubbing of the,
"Oh my God! We have no goaltending!" Red Wings. I watched the game at
my officemate's house. It was fun, but he does not have the hockey savy
as Researcher 37846. I should not be too critical though, because like
many hockey fans these days, I had no hockey savy until my senior year
in college. Why? Sega hockey, that's why. Hockey is by far the best
genre of sports video games you can play. This is with one exception.
That exception is CYBERBALL. Loosely based on football, this robot football
game has drained me of more quarters than I care to mention.

That was a fun hockey game to watch. I miss the excitement of being in a city gripped with postseason fever, but at least I can take part in my own small way. There will be lots of New Belgium flowing should they make it all the way. There will be plenty of New Belgium flowing regardless, now that I think about it.

Cyberball 1. Hockey 2. I agree. Neither is quite the same without a linemate however.

Ok, this has nothing to do with the conversation, but someone actually read my article. They saw my posting asking how I could get people to read it, and he/she/it said it was "Excellent." Woo-hoo! Now if only the editors agree.

I suppose I'm making too much of this, and I don't really know why. It might be because I'm not much of a writer, but I think it is because I've read some postings around this site, and it doesn't seem like the editors accept any old article - there seem to be many disappointed people around. So I feel like if it gets accepted then I've accomplished something. Not anything useful, but something.
