h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

hmmm. I always try to keep up with journal writing and I always lose interest at about the third day. My life isn't really that interesting that I want to read about it several years down the line, but you never know, someone out there may be interested.
My name is Ann and I am a student. But not for much longer, as I am doing my finals at the moment. They are very hard and very sacry as they indicate that I have to join the real world and earn money and actually start paying tax and stuff.
In the holidays I am a station mistress on a tourist railway in Norfolk. This is quite fun, I have learned how to drive a steam engine and other such stuff.
Today (since this is a journal and I really should stick to some kind of tradition) I have done, er, not a lot really. I have been shopping for a friend who needs a calculator for her exam tomorrow. The secret is to ask all the technical questions in an electics type shop and then go and buy it for two third of the price in Woolies!
