Tried to do this yesterday but had so much trouble signing in and changing screens that I finally gave up - managed to post a couple of replies - but I think that they must have been having trouble with the server.
Teething problems are to be expected - especially with a site as all encompassing and potentially popular as this one.
I can see me becoming really addicted to h2g2. Don't want to talk about my drab day to day existence here, I'll leave this journal for really interesting things.
Last night went to see "Boxing The Pony" a live one woman show by Leah Purcell, a young aboriginal woman - extremely talented - writes, dances, sings, writes her own music - VERY impressive.
It was autobiographical and yet universal in its themes - Leah started her life with an alcoholic mother and a father who, in a tiny North Queensland town had 2 families, one white and one black - everyone knew but no-one mentioned it.
She had a child at 16, an abusive partner and generally a BLOODY hard time - and yet she escaped and triumphed. The show was sad, funny, inspiring and entertaining, Highly recommended!! Leah Purcell will, hopefully, grace our screens and stages for many years to come.
Key: Complain about this post
