Queen Greatest Hits III?
Garibaldi - Patented Mr G party at F14181?thread=256534 Started conversation Jul 30, 1999
Could it be true? Could the great rock band, Queen, will be releasing another Greatest Hits Album. If the update of their offical site is anythign to go by, then yes.
Check out http://queen-fip.com and see for yourself. There is very little info about it, but beign the offical site, and the front page has a link 'Hits III' I would put all my money on that Qeen is releasing a new Greatest Hits.
However, with Hits I, Hits II, Queen Rocks, I don't think that there is much left, though songs from Made In Heaven will surely make there way onto Hits III.
Oh I am so excited.

Since they've only had a handful of hits since "Greatest Hits II", maybe this will round up all the hits that didn't make it onto the first two volumes, such as "Love Of My Life", "Spread Your Wings" and "Las Palabras De Amor". That idea is probably too sensible for most record companies, but I live in hope.

Yeah, they do have a few off Made in Heaven though that they could release. I think songs that you have mentioned would be good, and I wish, I hope that they put 'Princes Of the Universe' on this one. Ok so it was only released in Europe, but heck it's a good song.
Only time will tell

Hmm, why don't the do:
Greatest Hits
Greatest Hits (but they wouldn't hit on the first album)
and Not Quite Greatest Hits But Still Really Great Songs You Know You Like
?
Of course this goes back to the old 'Final Fantasy 4' bit...
"Guess the other 3 just didn't take!"
Confused? I know I am.

Well I thought Queen Rocks was a 'Queen Greatest Hits' type, but it was a money spinner. Actually I wish I didn't see the link, that way I would have been happy in my own little fantasy world. Ah well

Thanks for the link to the offical Queen site. Now I have to figure out how to get the Freddie Mercury Stamp.

So now that it's out, what do we all think - worthwhile addition to the collection, or desperately scraping the bottom of the barrel? And does anybody actually like the version of "Another One Bites The Dust" with Wyclef Jean?

It was worth buying Queen rock and Hits III, because I only have a couple of Queen CD's, most is either copied, or second hand tapes,
I don't know why they bothered with the wyclef one, it wasn't so much of a colabration, more sort of scraping the botton of the barrel,
But I like it, the album, my sister bought the video of it fro my birthday, as it was due out that week, she payed for it in advance as it haddn't come out then, I kept going in every week to get it but it took a month or more before I got it, its nice to have the video's of the solo stuff, but I have the made in heaven films, they didn't do much for me.

Well I bought it, and there are some good versions of their songs on them, but I think they ended up scrapping the barrel. Maybe they could release a B side collection for the poor sods like me who never go into Queen until later on (and hence have no singles with B sides)

I only reallt started to like them after he died, there is a second hand shop in town where I go every week and ask if he's got any queen singles, but he never has.
actually I've just bought queen in nuge, which has the stuff by smile, the band they were before queen, and also the a and b sides to the single they recored as larry lurex and b side mad the swine which I have aready got its not bad, but i've only half listened to it once.
