wow, wow, wow, and indeed, wow. I went last night to see fear factory at the portmouth pyramids, and to say they are an excellent live band is a fairly big understatement. They sound big and almost apocalyptic on record, but live they are the end of the world. They played a few new songs including what will become (you can download it from roadrunners website), and linchpin (the next single) and it became very clear that their next album is going to do a sizable amount of rear end kicking. I was surprised by that, but the real shock came with the exclusion of martyr. I imagine i am going to have to wait till the next headlining tour after the album is released. however all the other classic were there: demanufacture, self-bias resistor, shock, edgecrusher, and my fav live factory song of all time; ressurection.
verdict: best live band that side of the atlantic by a country mile, and can't wait for the new album: DIGIMORTAL, 23RD OF APRIL

Oh
Obsolete is a great album, I like good stories and the concept is a great story. I think there should be more concept albums like back in the day of pink floyd and numerous prog rock bands. It also displays a lot of talent as concept albums are the hardest thing type of album to make, cos you have to tell one story and sometimes they are just pap. My fav is resurrection because of the dynamics of how is changes between heavy melodies and the raging riffs, which is nice.

By the way, it's good to hear from you again. I didn't realise it was you until I clicked on your name, I dare say it changed by now.
sXe ehh?, (as homer would say) it's a good way to live, but I prefer to "Drink beer and raise hell", well moderately anyway. I tend to be careful of that whole crowd because they tend to use violence to enforce their views, while not excepting anybody else's opinion. Word from the wise there.
It's also nice to see someone with a varied taste in music, but your still not into Sclub7 I take it, hehe.

I was seeing how long it would take for you to realise it was me!
sXe, Goth, mainstream. So many different categories and I agree with different parts of them. I can't be categorised... I'm just... "me".
I've heard two songs off Obsolete already- Edgecrusher and Obsolete. Can't remember Obsolete but Edgecrusher owns!
s club 7? who are they.
so what's new?

Well said, it's good to know independance hasn't died a death.
try and get your hands on the obsolete LE digipak with the cover of cars on it, i'm an absolute sucker for metal and punk/SKA bands covering old songs, especially dodgy 80's electronica and pop. I even have a folder full of mp3's dedicated to the fact in my pc.
Edgecrusher is one of those songs that just reminds me of being "down the front". check out replica from demanufacture and martyr from soul of a new machine, (in the style of the bloke from jazz club on the fast show) "crushing".

Independence just faked a death.
Ooh, I'll have a look for that one then!
Hmmm, covers of dodgy 80s electronica stuff... My favourite band Elastica covered "Da Da Da" by Trio... The original is so shameful...
I shall be checking those out.

Man of Legend Posted May 16, 2001
y'alright
I am incredibly bored, even when you have free internet all day you find yourself thinking, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh (that's ment to be the sound of your mind letting out an exasperated sigh while melting out your ears).
what do you reckon to this whole beeb/h2g2 thing i'm not a fan personally (see my journal entry). I wonder how it came about, ah well.
Question time over.
it's now 5pm and i can leave until half past and I have absolutely nothing to do apart from post completely inane messages (brain the size of a planet and all that).
anyhuw have a good evening, i'm going to go to the gym later should be fun.

Well back at work on a thursday (another exact week since you were born) and suffice to say I am as bored now as when i left at 5.30 last night, except I have more energy.
I didn't go to the gym as I had more pressing matters on hand last night, like watching an English team finally beating a Spainish team in europe. I will go to the gym to night though and just run and cycle till my legs fall off, probably.
Anyhuw, boredom is calling and if I have anything decent to chat about then i might let you know.
Arggghhhh no don't let them come near me with the intent on making me exercise!!!!!

What can you say about Friday afternoons, that is not said by the feeling you get when the school bell rings for the last time for the week. It's about the only thing I miss about being at secondary school. Thankfully the weekend look quite interesting, bowling tonight, climax of the premiership tomorrow followed by an evening on the tiles, which is nice.
Anyhuw have a good one.
