The first significant thing to happen for some time happened today: I went back to school. I shall begin at the beginning. I was very nervous. Very. I love Palmer and feel bad about leaving and going to a school that sucks. I had to walk to school today and I felt like such a fruit you would not imagine. Once I got to school, however, things started looking up. I found my locker quickly, which is incredible, given that I had no prior knowledge of the nomenclature of the lockers. Then I went to psychology. The teacher was not yet there, so I chatted with a girl in the hall who was waiting as well. She seemed nice enough. She is in several of my classes, so it would be expedient to make friendly with her. Then I had a period off which I spent in the library reading Vonnegut and browsing through the library's selection of books. It's a pretty nice little library. Then I had English. My teacher is a 30ish man who seems nice but strict. I feel dreadfully behind in that class, due to the fact that everyone was supposed to have read "Crime and Punishment" over the summer but I did not. Plus, English is a difficult class for me. Then came history, in which I also felt dreadfully behind, but I have a cool teacher and a cute guy who is also in psych and english with me sat next to me and made small talk. He seems very cool; I would enjoy getting to know him better. Then I had physics. I have a nice teacher again. The class is very small, under twenty students. Four girls. I had to find a lab group today and refused to be with the other girls, so I sat down with the cutest group of boys. Unfortunately, I feel this was probably the wrong decision, seeing as they are a group of close friends and so only screwed around all period. Plus, no one likes some chick to come intruding. Then was lunch, which is always the hardest thing to get used to in a new school. I went to the cafeteria, but I had no idea how and where to get what and also had no friends and no idea where I should be sitting, I skipped lunch and went back to the library. Where, lo! the cute guy from my other classes sat at the desk next to me and we spoke again. He asked what I was reading and if he could borrow my calculator. Then came math, in which I am so f*****g lost it isn't even funny, and then German, in which I am (finally!) somewhat ahead of the class. Then, last period, I had dance. I was amazingly self-confident in this class. I shocked myself. We basically got assigned someone to interview and then they in turn would interview us. The girl I talked to is a cheerleader, and somewhat not my style, but she was very nice and not snotty, and we talked about music for a little while. Although we have differing tastes, we share certain principles. Such as, we both believe that a person should listen to lots of types of music, and not just listen to music because it is popular at the moment. Then I walked home, got so hot in the process that I took of my shirt when safe inside, and came down to the basement to write this. Then you read it.

All I can say in French is "Ou est la toilette?" and "Un sandwich, sil vous plait." And I've been there twice already.
