I just remembered something that has meaning in my life. I downloaded SETI@home yesterday and have joined the search for aliens. This is somethng that has me so incredibly excited I can't find words for it. And logic tells me that it's not that exciting, that I have at best a minscule chance of finding anything, and that it's taking up a lot of space on my hard drive. I have told logic to f**k off. This is the most titillating thing to happen to me all summer! As of now, I am 4% of the way through my first chunk of data. Woo! Talk about progress!
