Tibet Day

Post 1

John the gardener says, "Free Tibet!"

March 10 is Tibet Day, an annual commemoration of the massacre by Chinese troops in Lhasa, Tibet, in 1959. Large scale massacres may be a thing of the past, but people in Tibet still sacrifice their lives in protest of the Chinese occupation. Many of them are young nuns, who engage in public demonstrations in the name of freedom, fully conscious of the dire consequences they face. Lest we forget.
