But at less than 1,300 conversations you really are a bit of a lightweight user
Seriously though, I think it is time I resurected my 'who's got the most conversations' thread (assuming I can find it ) as I haven't checked up on the numbers since the legacy queue reappeared.

1,300? Is that all? I would have thought i had more...

i checked it myself, with <./>MP32077?skip=1200&show=100</.> or something like that. It seems you are right. I might have been unsubscribing, but not on a large scale... it's strange. I have had 2 long(ish) periods away from h2g2 since i joined (excluding Rupert), so that would decrease my posts somewhat... I'm now...

Perhaps you weren't subscribed to pages that generate a lot of threads, like Peer Review or whatever. And that what you were doing was a lot of posting within a small range of conversations.
I've found that my total of conversations has ballooned since I became a Guru and subscribed to all of the help pages, plus the random places that a confused user might ask a question. Then of course I went and subscribed to Peer Review and all hell has broken use - c.4,700 conversations and counting

I don't subscribe to big conversations, it's too confusing. When guruing i just look at <./>mp295</.> and then i only see the questions that need answering.

PS I have asked Jim about a more definitive total.

Jim says:
"According to the stats, as of 5th March, you have posted to 972 different conversations. You're subscribed to 40 forums and you have 1238 different conversations in your list of currently subscribed conversations (plenty of which you haven't ever posted to)."

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
