h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

This weekend I shall be setting off with the girl for southern Spain. We'll be spending a week walking in the Sierra Aitana, eating bread, ham and olives, drinking wine, and generally living a delightfully non-technological life.

The deal is that we ankle nonchalantly through the mountains from hotel to restaurant to hotel with small day-packs for water, cameras, etc, and our heavy luggage is carted around for us in a van. Civilised, neh?

Apparently, the temperature there ranges from 15 to 25 degrees C, so it'll be pleasantly warm (and dry). I think I remember the sun - big orangey-yellow thing in the sky, right?

Oh, it was just... *gush, gush, gush* etc.

Completely amazing mountains, great food, blasting sun, fun company, tasty wine, interesting hosts - it was near perfect as holidays go. Even the meal on the plane was good, fer chrissakes!
