Joe aka Arnia, Muse, Keeper, MathEd, Guru and Zen Cook (business is booming)

Wow... this has been a week to put things in perspective, that's for sure.

Well, I have realised that I can live without this guy as a lover, but I can't live without him as a friend. Maybe someday we will be together but not for a long while. His friendship means so much more to me.

I think, I hope we are friends again. On Sunday I am going to call and tell him what happened. I would call him today, but he is performing in a concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

I realised why I act so obsessional and jealous about friends though. When I was seven I lost my best friend, she was wonderful, we lived next door to each other. We did everything together. We knew each other from when we were three... my mum made us move away, I was so very upset... I wouldn't stop crying. smiley - sadface

Well... I wasn't allowed to talk to her again cos my mum didn't approve of her (her family were Jehova's Witnesses) so I lost her... smiley - sadface

So I have been scared to let go of friends in case I lose them. Funny... it was almost losing this guy's friendship that knocked me into realising this... I had blocked the memory...

Just read the above post.

It seems that you are making the right moves. Losing a friend is far harder than losing a lover. Best thing to do is take the first step, it will be awkward at first but then it does become easier. From personal experience, the best friends I have now were lovers in the past. It does take time and a lot of balls - but worth it in the end.

I hope it all goes well. smiley - smiley

I hope she never finds this out, but I had a dream that my best friend died in a plane crash and my world just fell apart. I'm 14 now which will mean I've known her for 11 years, but we've been best mates for 5 years. I dunno what I'd do without her to be honest!

Good luck in phoning your friend!

Joe having talked to you through most of this week. I realise how hard it was for you to work through this. The frienship thing is important the next couple of weeks will be crucial for seeing where that stands between me and my ex, as we'll be unable to avoid each other at times being in similar location all the time, and around alcohol which tends to losen his tongue a lot.

As ever you know where I am.

I know what you are going through - three years ago my partner of 2.5 years died. It was then that I realised life is far too short to waste on petty jealousies and feuds.

Grab the proverbial bull by the horn and let him know that you'll always be there. You have to take control.

I hope the call went well - try and keep cool smiley - smiley

How did I end up on your page?

I was just surfing and came across it in the who's on line list.

Thanks for the sympathy but I'm now quite fine but thank you all smiley - smiley

My melancholy mood of late was due to the fact that it would have been Alex's B'day last Thurdsday.

Anyway, back to Joe - I really hope everything works out fine and you always have two shoulders to lean on - DD's and mine. smiley - smiley

Whenever someone dies I feel really weird, and try to remember what it was like when they were around. When my adopted cat died, I went into shock, as he was almost my best friend, whenever I was upset he'd purr for me and make me feel happy. July 21st is the first anniversary of his death, so I'll be crying all day, staring a people. If anytime that day I hear Boyzone "No Matter What" I will really cry, I think it was the first song I stopped to listen to the night I found out he'd died.....
