WelshHillWalker its only 5 weeks to the Wedding...still whose counting? Started conversation Feb 27, 2006
Well, I just had to put finger to key.
Had a most depressing conversation yesterdsay, following on from wales' defeat or should i say surrender at Lansdown Road.
An old friend (well an ex-boyfriend of oldest daughter) a North Lononder and life long Gooner told me that he had heard that EUAFA has made a decision that if last years winner of the Champions League doesnt finish in the top 4 of thier domestic league, to avoid last years fiasco, with Liverpool CL Winners and 5th in league, the vteam in 4th place WILL be replaced by the previous winners.
That could mean, he delighted to tell me, that Spurs finish 4th in the league above Arsanal, but if they win the Cup then they would replace Spurs in the competition.
Can you believe it, i'm sure its a conspiracy just to keep Spurs out of Europe.
Plesase remember that Spurs were the first British club to win a European Cup, not Celtic of Man'United........
Our rightfull place is being the best club in London, the best in Britain & the best in Europe.
These are not the idle dreams of a sad soul or the mutterings of a demented fan with a fixation on the Sixties......
How could anyone in thier right mind give a hard earned place in Europe to the pretenders of North London, they dont even have a proper ground, oh ,they dont even have an English player playing whilst Spurs have 5 in the probably World Cup Squad.
I ask you, honestly who is best equiped to serve and represent British/English football...........
