For Bob's sake this is driving me up the wall!!
I've had no laptop for about three weeks now (this is being posted in a few stolen moments on a friends machine)and i've started to realise exactly how dependent i am on internet access for my entertainment.
I've spent the last few weeks vainly trying to amuse myself, searching desperately for anything worth watching on TV, for any books i haven't read at least three times and any console game i haven't played to death.
I've even gone to bed stupidly early on more than one occasion, having completely given up.
Bah i say Bah!
No PC + No money makes Northen Boy very very narked off.
If anyone needs me i'm off to watch some paint dry!

Well it appears (after much faff) that the graphics board was broken however to get to this point has taken 2 motherboards, 2 processors and a new screen (the engineer broke the screen when he was fitting what turned out to be a broken processor) >.<

I really do wonder sometimes what on earth I used to do to occupy my time before I began using the internet... I think BC should be re-defined as Before Computing Sounds like you've had a simular problem ongoing with your laptop like I had with my first Toshiba when I was at Uni; Kept sending it back, they thought it was X, then Y, they changed the motherboard, and in the end they'd practically replaced every single component of the laptop cept for the case and the battery and the screen If you ask me some of the guys these people have working for them know nothing about PCs/computers and just opperate on a keep fiddling till it starts working by random luck principle

Aye same principle and indeed same manufacturer Mr Legs. with the added fun of the engineer (it was an onsite warranty till i gave up and sent it back) breaking a differing component whenever he replaced something.

Result!
I should phone up HP and see what they'll do for me - my touchpad isn't what it used to be and the right mouse button on it's buggered. My laptop has been discontinued too, so you never know

Heh, well Vista seems pretty good actually once i got it set up properly. It just took a bit of time finding new drivers and software for things again.
Genie - it's quite possible i'll be about here a bit more if i can prose myself away from world of warcraft for a bit anyway

How're you enjoying TBC? I 'officially' visited the Caverns of Time the other night (I sneaked in before it was open ) and had fun with Trall

I haven't got any attunements yet. I was in Old Hillsbrad for the first part of the Kara key but it all went to pants and I couldn't complete the quest Still, it's a fun instance and I've got my guildies and my raidgroup to fall back on for help
