So at 3pm yesterday we began a firefly session - me, howard and John who joined us.
The rules for Firefly drinking are...
Drink when -
Some one speaks chinesse
Theres a space shot
Theres a fight
Doesn't sound a lot, but try it to the title sequence and its bloody hard. Theres different rules for each episode - for instance shindig adds in any time someone uses a title (sir, lord, miss) although by far the best was Jaynestown which removed all the other rules and drinking only when 'Jayne' was said. This allowed a sing along to the titles (yes, we sang, and that makes us mighty!) although sing along to the man they call jayne did go slightly wrong...
If you go out of the room, then you drink a second for everyone you missed - no slacking (although I admit that by the end I was drunk enough to take my can to the conveniently placed toilet).
Anyway... now I've sobered up some I'm going to get ready and head off - I have a meeting in 4 hours where drinking will resume, this time for the society. Gah the things I do.

OOooo just had a discussion I really didnt want
Ant - 'Hey Marky marky where were you last night'
Mark - 'I was a bit drunk'
Ant - 'Did you stay over at a ladies house'
Mark - '...in a way.. got incredibly drunk, got to hers, passed out'
Ant - 'Haha'
Mark - 'Yep, and sleeping on the floor gave me a bad back... but nowt happened'
Ant - 'Haha oh right.. whoops'
Mark - 'Yeh whoops'
Ant - 'No.. I meant I've told everyone on the course you didn't come home last night'
Mark - '... nice... really nice'
So hungover, in pain, with much ribbing due tomorrow, I cant wait till tomorrow I really cant.
Now I'm hungry.

I wouldnt mind so much if I could go lye in the bath for an hour and groan a bit but the blood hot waters gone so no pain relief for mark.
Oh well, I've finished watching Shaft and I've got no work to do today so.. I dunno I've took enough paracetomol for one day, peanuts and M&M's, so I'm going to make a cup of tea and then collapse - possibly watch either the terminal, american beauty, or Shogun Assassin.

Shaft's big score?
I was watching the remake which is exactly what i needed after the other night. After all, its the only film that has Richard Rowntree, the guy who directed all the shaft films, and samuel l jackson on screen at the same time - now thats a cast and a half!
