Friday-night, nov. 16th 2007.
I just got of my daughter (detective police The Hague) the e-mail in which she tells, that her detective team arrested James Francis Hurley this evening, who is number one at the criminal list of GB.
You are the first ones to read/know this news, that will be in all newspapers of GB !!
Proud father, allthough it's their, and only their achievement!
Greetings from Amsterdam

She is very lay-back (attitude) and does not know what stress is all about.
She works very hard and passionate.
One day she said to herself; I'm not going to worry about anything any longer and so she did until this day.
Extremely pragmatic.
She is never beaten, while she operates outside with confidence, but she appears to do that in such away, that it does not provoke aggression, "as male colleagues often do. They love a real fight. They all get upset to engage".
She once wrote a bill for someone at a motor.
She asks for his name.
Don't you know me?!?!?!? I am the most famous criminal of The Hague!!"
He was far more upset about that, than getting a bill.
At the police office; "did you really write a bill about his behavior? Are you not harmed anywhere.
"No, not at all".
When I'm very unstable she's the daughter than is able to calm me down.
She's one of four daughters (Dutch/American; mother in Netherlands).
She's about 30 (I never remember and they know that) Her elder sister is 31 (modern dance/teacher New York).
My television daughter (producer is about 26.(I was very upset to hear she had just introduced poker at Dutch TV, but I'll keep my mouth shut. It's her life and I do support them, whatever they choose to do and she has a very sensitive conscience and apparently she believes that "poker is not gambling". I almost fainted)
And the youngest, 22, manager in a very big and fairy tale like museum, is a daddies girl = spoiled by me and the only one with her credit cards.
The three ones in Holland have become real friends and they see each other weekly and take holidays together, besides activities with their boyfriends, if they are interested in having one
They only permit a boyfriend when he has also his own friends and a life on its own.
It is an honor to be their father and I always told them to listen to their own inner self and follow that unique way in life, whatever that might be.

Just now I hear, that she was not allowed to speak, because next Monday it is told to the intern. Press, when he's in a very special prison.
Not that dramatic and no one can sell the story for money, for I did take action to prevent that.
This is the eldest; http://www.monroegallery.com/detail.cfm?id=297
I do not have the stability to be their father. Not at all.
But I do have the talent to be their father and stability comes from their mother. She stays in Holland; even we are divorced now since about 1990.
Their relationship with me is very good. Because of poor sleep since 1984 I do have very little energy, so in contact with them I always am focused at their inner self, their emotions and motives.
They feel understood and coached that way and I'm glad to be able to do that (I've also been a social youth worker for 15 years).
So I am focused at the most important and the rest goes from ear to ear.
They call it "selective involvement" and I always laugh when I hear them saying that. I don't see them that often. About 4 times a year.
Since I have a laptop, we e-mail a lot and that is a real push for our relationship.
They also read my stories and see my paintings on line, but this H2G2
is absolutely unknown to anyone of my children, friends of whoever.
That's because of my diary.
It doesn't harm them.
But because of that so called "selective involvement" they have decided that every new lover gets the name of the first one, because I just remember the first name
Ages; not the slightest idea. Even concerning my own age I've always
do some thinking and counting, let alone year of divorce, etc.
Two month ago one said; "have you forgotten that I moved and bought a house".
My improvisation; "no, but only the date" One gets smart when he's falling apart.
As I said, the three younger ones have become real friends, but that's not what they do want to talk about it, because they don't want to know exactly why. They prefer to take it as it is and enjoy it.
No one is married or even lives with a lover in the same house.
No children.
Wonderful!
But, if one of them was getting married at 20 and wanted six children, I would have fully supported her in her choice to live her own life.

Wow, she is beautiful
Here's mine: http://tinyurl.com/2rrlcx
You have to be there when they need you and not be in their way.
Love them but don't smother them.
I also only see two of mine about 4 times a year since they moved away.
But my oldest has her own home, husband and son in the same town as me and I do a lot of childminding for her, and my youngest still lives with me (he's 14).

Thanks for the reply and picture.
Giving and receiving love and support; that's what it's all about, isn't it.
Greetings
