I am technologically illerate, which means I have no idea...
...I am also pathologically paranoid, which means I'm a little scared by the whole "watching-users" bit...

I think it may create the list of people who have your name on their list, not realy sure but it's a hunch

If you look at my user space, and see the bit where it knows your name? It can't do that without that bit of code at the begining.

9 times out of 10 if you see someone on your "they have me on their friends list" list whose name you don't recognize it means that either:
1) it's someone whose name you would have recognized once but they've since changed their name. doesn't this drive you batty? i've been mikey the humming mouse for 4 years.....
2) it's a newbie, and you said something nice, either to them, or just in general, or maybe just something funny, or maybe you were just the first person they saw post anything at all, and they followed your name to your home space, and clicked on the "add to my friends button"
3) same as above, but they added you to their friends list completely as a mistake, and had no clue whatsoever that they were doing it
When it's #3, the person often shows up in one of the help forums, demanding to know why your journal entries keep showing up as posts on their pages.

When I first moved into HooToo I added names of people who had stuff on their page that I liked and thought it would be good to be able to refer to them for how-to advice. Also people that answered my questions or welcomed me to HooToo.
I'm still working out how to get stuff to sit where I want it(like pics and pulling quotes) I've given up on it for now but when all is said and done I want an example of every box, pulldown, link, and all that stuff.
I added the "stat" ability, theres some neet stuff to see, who talks the most, how many researchers there are...that kinda stuff
