Today this site has been as much fun as running naked and barefoot through a mile of sticker bushes only to find a tall brick wall and having to run back

It must have over 10000 posts, my comp can handle over 5000 so far. Its an older model running on windows 95.

I find it funny that my last posting was 27 minutes ago when I know, by my clock, that much time hasnt real passed. hmmm how do you find time to post from work, not much to do there?

My job is very boring...and more tedious and brain numbing than it is time consuming...
...besides, they get more than their pound of flesh from me...so they can just get nicked...

the one thing I like most about cashier w**k is that after the rush hour of people is slowed to a managable level I could read some of whatever book I brought. One of my co-workers usualy brought in a small tv and a video game system to while away the hours.

I can't read here unless it's break time...hence the hours spent wandering aimlessly through hootoo...

Small things like this help keep ones sanity. Plus you get to talk to people about stuff totally unrelated to work

Exactly!
Besides...I'd go crazy if I couldn't ramble in here...or at least crazier than I am already....

Even unemployed as I am, if I couldnt get at a comp Id with bordom, lately this has been my only social activity besides family. I just recently moved about 20 miles from what I call home and as yet havent made any new friends aside from you and a few other here at hootoo. Even as a bit of an outsider in highschool I managed to gather some friends but here Im at a loss. I need some diversion.

I know what you mean...never really been a social butterfly...apart from my folks...the only friends I have are pub mates...who I met when I reached breaking point and decided I'd rather go out by myself than stay at home and go crazy...

home alone is hardly ever fun but reading and tv help take the edge off, tho theres nothing better than a friend specialy if youre an only child like me.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
