A Very Sad Day

An old friend has been forever lost. On Monday the HMS Bounty, a tall ship built for the MGM film of the same name that was launched in the early 1960's, succumbed to the waves of Hurricane Sandy. She was a replica of the late 18th century ship HMAT Bounty, the site of a famous Mutiny. However on a more personal note she was the site of our wedding in 1981. My wife and I lived across the street from her berth in St. Petersburg on our sail boat for almost ten years. We had seasonal passes and spent many hours aboard.
On an even sadder note, of her 16 crew 14 are rescued, one confirmed dead and the Captain is still missing. Please give your thoughts to their loved ones.

However, that which is lost is not necessarily lost from the heart,
