My short visit, so far, to this fab site, has shown me that a lot of people are placing guide entries for topics that are already factualy well established. I certain that I will find other entries that will show me that this is not the only type of 'research' that is going on.
The promotion of conversation in any field is a worthy goal. I would like to see lateraly considered standard topics and areas explored that are different and worthy.
Don't know where to start myself, don't even know where to look yet!
Maybe a study on why spelling and grammer are so bad!

hehe, just kidding.
I think the point of h2g2 is to create a guide to life, the universe, and everything, in general, all while emulating the literay uniqueness of the Hitchiker's Guide, as if it were real. So, the true importance of filling the guide with well established facts is not to actually have the facts there, but to have a witty article on the subject.
