Grandmother has been delivered to my residence safe and sound. I have eaten my weight in buffalo and cat (types of fish) and have gained five pounds. Dee (the Cavalier bitch I handle) is in season and we're hoping she brings Sheba (the bitch we want to breed) in. I just ended a sentence with a preposition.
This week's closet compo is going to be on time, for once. Same wules, you know the drill. No one has won for the past two weeks, so we will ignore that fact, temporarily. This week will be based on PLAHNTS.
Deciding question: What is an orchid Stacy is currently lusting for?
What is your favorite, nondomesticated flower?
What is your least favorite plant?
What is the most labor-intensive plant in the South?
What is your favorite, domesticated flower?
How come I want to spell flower with an -re at the end?

No idea so I loose this week.
Kurrajong, looks like an orchid, smells like a rinsed rose and lasts all of 12 days in a vase but is to "small for commercial purposes"
I don't like rose-hisps at all.
Grass, its the most labour intensive plant anywhere but in a northern european climate
The bluebell, its small, and blue and shaped like a bell.
because your like me and have myslexia thats dyslexia without being dyslexic?

Acknowledged. You may win, actually, because I doubt anyone will get the first one.

Oh dear, gardening. This is not going to go well.
1) Phalaenopsis javanica
A rare plant and endemic, only known from south of Garut, West Java, in south-eastern parts of West Java forest from 700-1,000m. Phalaenopsis javanica is rare and is threatened in the wild by the excessive exploitation by local people for sale to collectors. Another major threat is loss of habitat due to conversion of forested land and forestry.
*cough*
2) I quite like bluebells that you get in the woods and aren't supposed to pick.
3) How am I supposed to dislike a plant? Ok, I'll go for pea plants, because I really really hate peas.
4) I would suspect that keeping the Antarctic hair grass Deschampsia Antarctica, would be quite hard work in the south.
5) Stacy is of course my favourite domesticated flower .
6) Because you're a silly colonial?

Oh? Most people seem to be of the opinion that I'm generally a bit harmless and fluffy.

Hmmm, is it purple?
Violets, mainly because you can eat them.
The evil bushes we used to have by our front walk that would bite anyone who walked near them
I'm with whoever said the Antarctic thingy
Toss up between lilac and lily of the valley
Read h2g2 too much and keep trying to look British?

And nasturtiums, except I kind of remember them making me a bit sick.

Mr. Carrot Posted Jul 16, 2004
Dendrobium spectabile?
Blue anemones.
Well, my old nanny used to have this bloody cactus that I would always get stung on when I was eating. It looked so nice and fuzzy, but turned out to be damned spiky.
Cotton, perhaps?
Apart from Stacy, aloe.
Because you're silly.

Stacy is currently lusting after Cadetia chionantha. Carrot was the closest, but he doesn't win.
The dandelion.
Grass. I hate grass with a passion of a million suns.
GRASS! Always grass. Grass, grass, grass. I HATE GRASS!!!!
Hmmmm, probably mums although they reek. They look similar to dandelions without any of the charm. Nice to know I'm domesticated, by the way.
I would have to agree that it's because my glasses were found a quarter of a mile away on the driveway today.
Darakat wins because he said grass.

YAY! hate grass as well, we don't have any. You will be pleased to know that practically all grass has dies from drought now here, expect the natives.

Hmm, I might have to contest Stacy being domesticated.
I like the grass found in the NE much better than the kind found in the South. It's all nasty to walk on and not as pretty.

He's brilliant...
Hey! I hate this freakin' grass I've laid, but it's gorgeous! It's green, weed free, and bloody perfect...
