Today could be the end of all my troubles, well at least those that have prevented me getting on line with any regularity.
Have just been delivered a brand new lap top, the engineer should be here after lunch to do a build up.
Hope I dont loose my place in the Community.
Its been a long week-end, am missing Tefkat, hope everything is going OK for her.
Could be a busy evening catching up with SHADOW.

Well if you're missing me try aiming a little more accurately. Goodness knows I ought to be a big enough target.

Hey Sweetie, have we lost you?
Decided we weren't worth talking to after all?
Or are you ultra-busy , or ?
(Take your pick from that lot. Hope summat helps.)

Other things have been just as bad
Banshee No 2 in hospital since last Tuesday Blood Sugars all over the place
New car arrived Wednesday afternoon, drove to Shrewsbury to collect Primal Banshee and some idiot drove his/her car across my nice brand new bumper, less than 50 miles on the clock
On the positive side new cat arrived two weeks ago 5 week old kitten
called Mac (Macavity)very pale ginger lots of fun but has put Joe's nose out of place (but she is 15)
Sorry if previous posts caused confusion, probably just a psychotic episode I'm going through.

Oh poor Jak. You've been through the mill haven't you? Are things getting better now?
How's Banshee No 2?
It looks as though, somewhere along the line, when you've tried to log in you've ended up re-registering. Divvent fash yersel' aboot it Bonny Lad. Quite a few of us have multiple accounts through being locked out temporarily and having to re-register to get in. (Then there are the ones created for fun... ) Why not just give the new persona a new name and put summat on his poissonal space - or copy and paste from the old one and abandon it?
Better . I'm unpacking pictures and mirrors because the curtains are wrapped round them, but there's nowhere to hang them so they're stacked against walls, doors and chairs. Any minute now there'll be an almighty crash...

My island of sanity in a sea of psychosis
Where do i start
Thing of the positives
1 Banshee 2 in a good hospital that is untill CHAI does its inspection next month.
2 Dr's seem to know what they are talking about
3 This isnt USA so i've already paid for her care.
Seriously
Not to good at the moment BM readings fluctuating from 1.0 to 30+
in any 12 hr period. Rescue insulin & Bolus glucose in the same day.
Effects on her body Not Good Feels like shit (her words)
Other problems identified, ? becoming intolernt to Insulin, Polycystic-overies, renal & liver failure kicking in, 5 years of constant DKA!. Has spent 466 day in hospital since September 1997.
How she stays sane?
possible its the expresive personaliy that helps
On the other side of life, move is now a thing of the past, garden is taking shape (that is till we had a flood and a major landsline last week)Any offers from BBB to gome and help sort it out.
New kitten (Mac) is a dream, only one puddle in 5 weeks.
New car Renault Clio Sport, goes like a dream, anything better that K reg Rover 214..........
Have taken Dolts advice and made contact with Mina (an Italic)
May take Ur advice and cry havoc and let loose the dogs of war!

Hmm. You have that the wrong way round Jak. More like your island of psychosis in a sea of sanity.
Oh Jak, that is absolutely awful. Poor little Banshee. She ought to be out enjoying herself at her age, not stuck in a hospital feeling like shit and worrying about what's going to happen next.
You must be beside yourself with anxiety.
And, illogical as it is, you'll be feeling guilty too, aren't you?
Polycystic ovaries. All that pain on top of eveything else .
It really isn't fair is it?
Does that mean dialysis from now on? What can they do about the liver?
for 2nd Banshee.
for the rest of you.
How's the big Banshee coping?
Who's BBB? Is he/she/it good at sorting out floods and major landslides?
Know what you mean about the car. We just got a Subaru thingy. Compared to my old D reg VW LT25 it's like being on another planet - and it costs about half as much to run.
Why not let loose the cats of war? They'd be much more effective.
"I have the power" (Yours are about the right age to have watched He-Man aren't they? Maybe the wrong sex though...)
Better go. Lit the Rayburn this morning and oven temp has now reached 300ÂșC and water is boiling in the tank, despite the fact that I turned on the heating to divert some of it. Off to have a dozen baths. Expect an incredibly wrinkled thing to return.

Lots of answers needed to last post
BBB is my old friend the Bare Breasted Botanist
Banshee 1 seems to cope very well, lives each day as it comes, has stopped planning and making asumptions.
Banshee 2 copes with a little help from Smith Kline.
Kidneys in very early stages no talk of D
Liver fine (well apart from normal student damage)
Pancreas transplant being discussed but longevity an issue???? Also she needs to be stable first.
have started to talk around Islet transplants but that surgery is even newer. so no answers forthcomming.
Apologies to all shadows for not visiting the Kitchen much, but free time minimal.
Will be getting round to updating my space in GuideML soon (well this year)
Thanks for all the goddies, much appreciated, but waste line growing at an alarming rate (that was not a typo)
Any plans for a Shadow meet being organised, would be good to put a face or body to the Id's

A SHADOW meet - now there's an idea... (In the twilight zone perhaps).
I'm coming southwards next week, but only as far as Coniston . Don't know about anyone else.

Next Sunday (to Thursday I think).
Caravan Club Site, in ancient woodland beside Coniston Water.
'cos it's lovely there.
With Hubby, two and the Blonde Bitch.
We could ask...
