THIS OCCURANCE HAPPENED VERY MANY YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS SERVING in the armed forces, I served as a photographer in the R.A.F.
We were told to expect a very important job which had to be completed that day and the prints to be ready for transportation to London the following morning.
Unfortunately the item, a flight-plan to be photographed, did not arrive untill quite late in the evening as a result I was working on my own so locked all the doors, both external and internal, other than the ones I was working in.
If I remember rightly I first became awear of the sound of doors opening and closing sometime beween 2300 and midnight, when the photographic plate had been made and I was making the prints, there was a resonable amount of light in the printing room as I was using a Yellow light, and I saw that nobody else was in the room.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
