It's been a wierd sort of day, started off feeling like I do every Friday (see journal entry below), then the day got better. Work was quiet and I got loads done during the peace. I should have known it wouldn't last.
Friday afternoon has been horrible, it's throwing it down with rain, my daughter has decided to get stuck on 'mad thing' mode and the last two hours at work were just completely mental!
Peace and quiet is all I want on a Friday afternoon, why does the universe conspire to make it horrible?
Mind you, I might be able to convince my partner to let me veg out with a book this evening.. so finger's crossed for me chaps.

Judging by the fact that you're not on line, I guess you got your wish and are currently vegging out with a book. See, fairy godmothers DO exist... honest. Hold on to that thought.
If you check my page you'll see a link to top ten books, its a researchers poll. What what I can see, Tolkein is coming first, Terry Pratchett second and Victor Hugo third. The mind boggles.
I've been wrestling with computor language and programming and making pretty stuff on my personal space. Talk about blood sweat and tears! Deary Deary Me. I've managed to avoid technical stuff for most of my life, and oh boy I'm finding it ... um... challenging.
Mind you, lots of people have been incrediably helpful - I can't wait to get my bloody printer fixed (Barney changed the ink cartridge and I can safely say its never been the same since. Ho Hum)
so I can print the info and guidelines out and keep it in a nice safe paper file that I can refer to. Hells teeth! Its printing as I write - how did that happen - what knob did I press!! Oh... only the one page. Still, one page down, 20 in the queue to go.
Have a good weekend. I've nothing much planned, but next weekend should be busy - if the cars back I've got 5 massages to do next Saturday - 70miles "there" and vice versa back. Still, its worth it
even if I DO have to stay with The Mother overnight.
We all have our crosses to bear - even us poor bloody pagans!
Oh yeah - for what its worth I did a bit of "sending" for your friend as well as young Fred last night - hope it supplements your spelling nicely.

Thank you Witchone. I spoke to her today, and she's sounding a lot more positive about things. Time is a great healer too it seems
I'll have to pop into your space to see the new re-designed intro, I found the GuideML help page REALLY useful for getting mine up together (hasn't exactly got anything original on it!!)
Decided to come off of h2g2 for a while and hang out over at Children of Artemis (witchy/pagan/wiccan site). Downloaded a load of books on 'The Craft' - be interesting to read some new stuff.
I am hoping that I'll get some chance to read them over the long weekend. Gotta do some Yoga and some more casting, been having conversations with people all week who seem to need help one way or another... obviously a bad week all round!
Talk to you soon honey.. hope the stay at THE MOTHER's isn't too horrible. Blessed Be.

Take your time - I'm still wading through screeds of stuff which - if I'm honest, make as much sense as Serbo Croat. (I said that once to A french lass who was staying over with the familly when I lived in Eire; imagine my face when she said she could speak it, her mothers family originating from Serbia) I've only been computing for about a fortnight so I've a whole generationsworth of knowledge to catch up on. Honestly, up until January I didn't even know how to use a mouse, let alone right and left click business. I got this PC as a sort of settlement from the last serious ex. Long story which I'll tell u another day. Suffice to say I've known the daft sod since I was 16, re- met up with him in 97, co-habited, thought ooops, and left last year. During the move he dismantled my late father's PC with a magnetic screwdriver and buggered up a lot of floppy discs and memory, bless him. As he had very short arms and very deep pockets during our time together I managed to bludgeon him into buying a decent PC - recommended by my friend the Bat (there's three of us middle aged ladies, The Bat (her) The Cat(Me) and the Dragon (one of the most gentle, decent ladies you're ever likely to meet)The Bat is a computor whizz but is currently in Birmingham.
Frankly, its the best "toy" I've ever played with, (the Pc that is).as a form of recompense. Dad's PC was archaic but had immense sentimental value - even if I COULDN'T really work it properly.
Anyway the upshot is an old friend from Eire phoned Easter Monday and she's on the Net too - so that inspired me to learn how to "do" E Mails and then I began to play surfing and discovered H2g2 by coming in sideways via Terry Pratchett and BBC7. Honestly, the stuff I've learned is mind boggling. As I said to another researcher it beats the hell out of convalessing and pain killers
(another long story which I'll go into later if I haven't put you to sleep). I will probably spend the next coupla days reading and inwardly digesting all the stuff I've learnt. Once I've checked with Barney and Fred (esp. Fred) I'll get my personal space a bit more intersting. I know what I want to do... it's just a matter of learning HOW.
Re The Mother - its always horrible but I've leant to turn off. Everyone has to have a hobby, hers is do-downing me (and being an only child godshelpme, I can't delegate or manipulate) She can't help it, but its more obligation time than enjoyment. The Kevins won't go and see her atall now - and she cannot figure out why. Being hassled by Barney to stop now so he can log on. I guess this is reasonable. Good weekend and blessed be.
