Manical Despot No. 7 - Dentonite and Free!

Okay, okay, I know this is posted on the 30th! smiley - biggrin

smiley - headhurts It's been an interesting couple of days, I know I said I go to the gym six times a week, well so far this week I have missed two days (and the guilt is setting in! smiley - flustered

Did manage to do some yoga last night, and some meditation practise though - so I am not completely useless.

To be honest though, it's a combination of the weather and work that is preventing me from keeping up with my normal good habits. Glasgow at the moment doesn't seem to know what season it is, one minute it is raining and overcast the next moment there is brilliant sunshine and not a cloud in the sky. (Makes a truism of the saying "If you don't like the weather in Glasgow, wait a minute" I suppose. smiley - ok)

Hopefully work won't be as intense today as it was yesterday, I am a computer programmer, I specialise in a system known as SAP. Anyone who has experienced SAP as more than the adverts on TV knows that this is a really BIG system which allows companies to use it for all of their system needs (stock control, purchasing, sales, HR management, Finance etc.). My experience centres mainly on the Logistical elements of the system (probably because I was once a Purchasing Clerk at a big company, and understand terms like MRP and FIFO), however, most of the work we have at the moment is for the Human Resources module. In most computer systems this wouldn't be a problem, as code is code no matter what it is supposed to be doing. However, in SAP, it's a different challenge. The HR module is completely different to everything else, the type of code used is similar - but not identical to what is being used elsewhere and the structure of the database for HR is different. Therefore yesterday was a real slog - trying to find out what the code was supposed to be doing, when I wasn't entirely sure what it meant when I read it, made changing it to work as the User Department required very difficult! smiley - erm

However, I did manage to get done what needed to be done - so it's not all bad. smiley - biggrin

Bring on the day... let's see what you have in store for me this time! smiley - bigeyes
